Peter Cathcart, MD
Medical Director

Peter Cathcart is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. He is a Graduate of the University of South Carolina Medical School. He enjoys reading, pinball, collecting cards, hiking, and playing PS5.

Hayden L. Shafer, MD
Assistant Medical Director

Dr. Hayden Shafer is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician specializing in LGBTQ+ primary care. He earned his medical degree from ETSU Quillen College of Medicine and trained at UNC Hospitals, where he was a founding provider of the Transgender Care Program. He brings over seven years of experience in gender-affirming care. A Nashville native, he enjoys the local food scene, walks at Shelby Park with his husband James and dog Solas, and gaming at home with cats Tom and Charles.

Stephen Sharpe, PA-C

Stephen Sharpe is a Physician Assistant of over 16 years, specializing in Primary Care and Sexual Health. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Milligan University and his Master’s Degree from Trevecca Nazarene University. His hobbies include Fantasy Football, Plant Care, Soccer, Art, Thrift Shopping, and is an avid Sneakerhead.

Athena Rapacz, PA-C

Athena is a certified Physician Assistant who provides empathetic primary care with a special interest in sexual health. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and her Master’s Degree from Lipscomb University. Athena prioritizes compassion in her interactions and strives to provide a calm and safe space for her patients. She is a self-taught cook, a Kardashian buff, and enjoys caring for her daughter and yorkie terrier named Leo.

Jon Rapacz, PA-C

Jon is a certified Physician Assistant providing comprehensive primary care with a patient-centered, affirming approach. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Lipscomb University. Over the past 10 years, he has developed a strong foundation in preventative medicine and holistic wellness, creating an inclusive space for all patients and supporting individuals in navigating their health with confidence. He enjoys playing video games like Pokemon and the Legend of Zelda, Dungeons & Dragons, reading, and spending time with his daughter and dachshund named Jet.

Michael Brown, NP

Michael Brown is a Family Nurse Practitioner committed to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals and families, specializing in chronic care management, preventive care, and weight management, working closely with patients to develop realistic, personalized plans that support lasting health. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University and both his BSN and MSN from Florida International University. Outside the clinic, he enjoys traveling, sports, photography and videography, and app development.
